Vianel Garcia, 44, was involved in an argument with her 22-year-old son, Miguel Duval, around 4:15 p.m. near Riverside Drive and West 165th Street. During the altercation, Duval allegedly pushed his mother down a grassy embankment, causing her to suffer severe injuries, according to police and sources.

Emergency Response

Garcia, who resided in Harlem, was quickly transported to Harlem Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, the NYPD reported. The severity of her injuries from the fall proved fatal.

Arrest and Charges
