Suspect Arrested in Break-In at Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’s Home, Police Say

Identity of the Suspect

The LAPD has identified the suspect in the burglary as 29-year-old Ephraim Matthew Hunter, a resident of the city. Hunter is currently being held on $100,000 bail, as reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department website.

Background of the Suspect

According to public records cited by the Los Angeles Times, Hunter has a prior criminal history, having been convicted of assault with a deadly weapon following a 2015 incident in Massachusetts. He served seven years in state prison for this offense.
