Teenage Girl Shot Before Graduation, Boyfriend Charged with Murder

15-Year-Old Found Dead in Lowell Home

Tragedy struck a Massachusetts community on June 14th when 15-year-old Ahliana Dickey was found shot to death in her Lowell home, just hours before her middle school graduation ceremony. Authorities have arrested and charged her 21-year-old boyfriend, Trevor Bady, with murder.

Boyfriend Pleads Not Guilty

Bady was arraigned on Tuesday facing charges of murder, armed home invasion, unlawful possession of a firearm, and other related offenses. He pleaded not guilty, and a court-appointed attorney declined to comment on the ongoing case.

Circumstances Leading to Discovery

Ahliana was expected to attend her eighth-grade graduation but never arrived. When she wasn’t seen at the ceremony, her grandmother contacted the police around 6:00 pm to report finding Ahliana deceased with gunshot wounds inside the home.

Prior Disturbance Reported

Investigating the incident, authorities found a possible link to an earlier call received shortly after midnight on June 14th. A report described a fight between a male and female outside Ahliana’s residence. The caller mentioned a woman yelling for help and gunshots being fired.

Surveillance Footage and Arrest

Despite responding to the scene, officers did not locate anyone at the time. However, a subsequent investigation uncovered video footage from the area. The video reportedly showed Ahliana calling for help around midnight, followed by a male, identified as Bady, leaving the house shortly after.

Police also determined Bady allegedly used an Uber service to travel to and from Ahliana’s home before and after the shooting. The driver was able to identify Bady as the passenger, leading to his apprehension.
