Pizza Delivery Ends in Violence at Florida Motel

A pizza delivery in Kissimmee, Florida, escalated into a brutal attack when a deliverer and her accomplice allegedly forced their way into a motel room and stabbed a pregnant woman over a tip dispute. The incident has led to serious charges, including attempted murder and home invasion, against the delivery driver, Brianna Alvelo.

Tip Dispute Sparks Attack

The events unfolded Sunday when Alvelo delivered a pizza to a woman staying at a local motel. The woman, who had a $33.10 bill, initially gave Alvelo $50, expecting change. When Alvelo walked away without offering change, the woman asked for it, but Alvelo allegedly claimed that company policy prohibited making change.

The woman searched her belongings and eventually secured a smaller bill from her boyfriend, reducing Alvelo’s tip to $2. Alvelo reportedly “rolled her eyes and walked away without saying anything,” according to the arrest report.

Home Invasion and Stabbing

Later that night, the woman, her boyfriend, and her 5-year-old daughter were asleep in their motel room when a knock at the door woke them. Upon opening the door, the woman was confronted by two masked individuals—Alvelo and an armed male accomplice—who forced their way into the room.

The man ordered the boyfriend into the bathroom while Alvelo rummaged through the room’s belongings. The situation escalated when Alvelo attacked the woman with a pocket knife, stabbing her 14 times as she tried to shield her daughter.

Authorities later revealed that the victim had recently discovered she was a few weeks pregnant. She was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery for a ruptured lung.

Charges and Court Proceedings

Alvelo has been charged with attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, kidnapping, and aggravated assault with a weapon. Court documents show she requested a court-appointed attorney, citing financial constraints.

Community Shocked by Brutality

The violent incident has left the Kissimmee community reeling. Authorities continue to investigate the role of Alvelo’s accomplice, who remains unidentified.

The case underscores the dangers posed by escalating conflicts and has sparked conversations about safety protocols for service workers and customers alike.
